Cornaro Chapel

JULY 2019
10.000 BRICKS
Located in the left transept of the church of Santa Maria della Vittoria (Rome), the Cornaro Chapel houses what Bernini called his «men cattiva opera»: the Ecstasy of Santa Teresa D'Avila, a masterpiece of Baroque art, that Luca manages to reproduce in an extremely accurate way down to the smallest detail.

Despite the small size of this building (just 40x25x40 cm), Luca manages to faithfully convey the "theatricality" typical of Baroque art: that spectacular and sometimes even emphatic representation of the events is reproduced not only thanks to the wise use of every single brick, but also by the use of microscopic Leds made ad hoc and positioned in such a way as to reproduce the same effects of light present in the original.
