A work of transition, the reproduction of the facade of Santa Maria del Fiore marks a turning point in Luca’s career in the world of bricks. If up to that moment the buildings came to life almost directly through the actual building, which was based solely on photographic reference of the monuments, this instead is the first project so ambitious that it requires a software design process, Lego® Digital Designer, before moving on to the actual realization.
This process makes it possible to create a work that, given the complexity of the original, can reproduce the architectural and artistic details with an absolute fidelity and precision.
